How to request information from us.

The guide published by the Information Regulator
The Regulator has published a guide, in terms of section 10, on how to use this Act. It is available from the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za, or by writing to them at the address on that site.
Records we hold
We are a small business and the list is short. Records are grouped by subject, and being listed here does not mean a record will automatically be released; the grounds for refusal in Chapter 4 of the Act still apply.
Company records: incorporation and CIPC documents, tax records, financial statements, insurance, and our registration application with the Department of Employment and Labour.
Pre-registration list: the email address, and optionally a first name or company name, of people who asked us to tell them when NexRecruit opens. Nothing else.
Platform records: user accounts, audit logs, and system logs kept to run the service safely.
Supplier and service records: contracts and correspondence with the providers we use to host the platform and send email.
We currently hold no CVs, identity documents or candidate profiles, because we do not collect them until our registration as a private employment agency is granted.
Records available without a formal request
Our privacy policy, terms, and this manual are on this website and need no request. If you want a copy of the personal information we hold about you, email the Information Officer and we will send it without putting you through the formal process.
How to make a request
Use Form 2 of the PAIA regulations, available from the Regulator's website, and send it to the Information Officer at the email or address above. Tell us enough to find the record, tell us the form you want it in, and give us an address, email or fax we can reply to.
If you are asking for the record because you need it to exercise or protect a right, say which right and how the record helps. If you are asking on someone else's behalf, include proof that you may act for them.
We must decide within 30 days. That can be extended by a further 30 days where the request covers a large number of records or a search through offices elsewhere, and we will tell you in writing if that happens.
Fees
The Act allows a request fee and an access fee, both prescribed by regulation rather than set by us. Where a fee applies we will tell you the amount before doing the work, and you may appeal that amount. A request for your own personal information carries no request fee.
If we refuse
We will tell you in writing which section we relied on and enough of our reasons for you to decide what to do next. You may then complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa) at PAIAComplaints@inforegulator.org.za or apply to a court. Nothing in this manual limits either route.
